My dearest readers

I feel terrible.

First, we went on a holiday. And it went from "I'll blog tomorrow!" to "I'll blog when we get back to Perth..?"

Then, we came home. And the internet was down. It was (has been) frustrating. A lot has happened over this period of time. But some part of me has not actually felt the need to blog all this. Which makes me think... Maybe I'm not a bride blogger. Fair enough, I blog weekly at BridalGuide.com (in which one of my articles was used in an excerpt on Glamour Magazine's website!!!), but I do not think I have enough of an emotional pull to this blog as I should.

And if I don't, it's not fair for any of us to stick around.

I still love writing and I have an amazing idea for what I'm going to do next. It involves a whole new blog revamp, definitely a new URL, and possibly, a whole new blogging interface (Tumblr, anyone?).. But until then, and by 'then' I mean, until I can find a new blog name and URL, I wish everyone on here the best.

I hope to see you around when that new part of my life kicks in..

I apologise and I digress

Hello lovely ladies! I do have stuff to blog about but I will leave that for when I find a day that has 25 hours in it! For now, I have some lovely The Notebook inspired engagement photos to share with you! Pre-engaged me might have found these corny/cheesy, but I LOVE THEM! Mostly because I love Rachel McAdams and Ryan Gosling, and the movie. But the couple just looked so in love, I couldn't help myself.

Phonecall with Loverboy v.1

Me: "Gooood morning! What are you up to?"

L: "Ah nothing.. Just writing my vows."

Me: "Ooh."

Me: "Are they making you wanna cry?"

L: "A little bit."

Me: "That means they're good vows."

Me: "Mine make me weep like a baby."

Yesterday was a big day..

I was up bright and early and took a shower in the 3 degree cold. Note: This is NOT recommended. But I was too excited and wanted to smell lovely when I did 2 very important things in my life.

1. Pick up my wedding band.

Got a 18k white gold band with 16 little itsy bitsy diamonds and a slight curve for my engagement ring to fit in! I love it. Yay yay yay.

2. Went for my first dress fitting.

I am getting the strap taken off and having the little diamante on it taken off and put on the comb of my veil! I am also getting the hem taken up (cause shorty be gettin' married ya'll), train removed cause it makes me look EVEN shorter if that's possible. And lo and behold, I will need the dress taken in slightly because apparently I've lost weight and by right if they took my measurements I should be a 6 not an 8. This is a bittersweet moment for me. It means I get be a slim, happy bride who will look back on my pictures and love them. But it also means I am gonna have to spend a bomb on alterations. Boo.

But but but! Thoughts, ladies? Yay or nay? Does it make my butt look big? HAHA, as if. My booty looks delicious in it. And look! I have a waist! And hips too! Yay! I love my dress!

It all feels very real today. I iz getting married.

P.S. Fear not, Luke had officially been disallowed to visit this blog space anymore. Besides, he has no idea what the url is, muahaha!
